My future's so bright...I gotta wear shades!

I can't remember the last time that I used such a bright color combination. Heck...this might be the FIRST time that I've used such a bright color combination! LOL! Sorry for the poor quality picture. We have a cold front moving in and the natural light inside isn't the best right now. Just imagine that the flower is very sparkly! This card is doing double duty for a couple of challenges over on Splitcoaststampers. This is for the Thursday "Open a Window Take Two" (WT154) and the Saturday Inspiration Challenge 116 (IC116). The Thursday challenge was to make a card with a window. The Saturday inspiration challenge was based off this colorful scene found in the Country Living Magazine. As you can see, I pulled colors from the scene to make this cheerful card.

I was lucky enough to have a window card in the perfect shade of green from Creative Cuts & More. This is the A7 Square Window Card in Apple Crush (Bazzill Smoothies). I stamped the Polka Dots backgrounder from SU on 3/4 of the card front in Basic Black. I then cut a small slit on the spine of the card in which to thread a scrap of some Polka Dot ribbon through to tie around the left side of the card. The focal image is a beautiful Poppy image from Stampendous (Open Bloom). I stamped the Poppy on Citrine Stardream Metallic cardstock with Black Staz-On. I watercolored with a Pixie Pink watercolor crayon and then lightly outlined the flower with Cool Caribbean reinker to make it pop a little. I then took the flower center (which is a separate stamp that is included in the Open Bloom set) and stamped using my Essential Glue Pad from Tsukineko. I then used Black fun flock to make the center of my poppy fuzzy. I also outlined my flower using my Quickie Glue pen (which is great for detail work) and then covered with some Dazzling Diamond glitter. I then placed a few dots in the corner with my black glaze pen from Sakura. This image was matted on some more Bazzill Smoothies in Grapefruit Bliss.

Hope you have a wonderful Saturday!

(It's been a few hours and Peter Rabbit is still hopping down the bunny trail.)

No, this post isn't going to help, but I DO love this card. Great colors. I love the 3/quarters dots and ribbon, the window, it's all good!
