Beautiful Butterflies

Just dropping in today to do a quick little post.  I had originally pulled out my PTO Beautiful Butterflies set with the intention of making a card fitting for the 100th MIM challenge on Nichole Heady's blog.  I had grand plans of using the matching dies and having several butterflies popped off the page so that I would need unique packaging to enclose the card.  The card itself had other plans and took a CAS direction (and I rather like it).

I did wind up using a previous MIM challenge, Repeats and Rainbows as seen here.  I wound up using the color palette # 4.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

MIM #100

Just popping in to post a card and packaging for this weeks Make it Monday over at Papertrey Ink.  This is the very first time that I have stamped with The Sweet Life and boy do I ever feel rusty when it comes to multi-step stamping (let alone stamping on a teeny tiny die cut)!  This is also my very first time participating in a MIM too.  I originally pulled out another set for this challenge (that will be a post for tomorrow).  With that card, try as I might, it was not meant to be anything larger than a typical A2 sized card.

I tried many different color combos and finally decided on Melon Berry (base), Berry Sorbet (2cd step), and Hibiscus Burst (third step).  The leaves were stamped in Spring Moss and Simply Chartreuse.

Here is my packaging.  I used a large glassine bag, a PTI Half and Half die (which I wound up completely covering up) and a PTI Mat Stack 4 die stamped with the matching stamp set.  I then placed one more die cut and stamped rose to finish everything off!

Thanks for stopping by!

Bubble Therapy

Hello everyone!  Hoping you are having a good day!  Wanted to make one last ATC before the challenge ended over on SCS.

This ATC also features that swanky feline Sprinkle from The Cat's Pajamas.  This stamp set is aptly named Bubble Therapy.  I don't know about you, but I would love a bubble bath in a tub like this!

There is a lot of dimension to this little ATC!  The Sprinkle image was stamped several times.  The tub was fussy cut and colored with various Copics and then coated with Ranger glossy effects (at least I think that is what it is called).  The bubbles were also separately cut out and then created with MS Snow glitter.  Everything was then attached to the base panel which was embossed with the PTI Stripes impression plate (to resemble wainscotting).  I had also stamped some additional floating bubbles on the base panel prior to embossing and used some adhesive pearls to add some extra dimension to them.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps:  Bubble Therapy (The Cat's Pajamas)
Paper:  Stampers Select white, Royal Velvet (PTI)
Other:  Simple Stripes IP (PTI), Ranger glossy effects, various copics, adhesive pearls

It Had to be Mew

Hey everyone!  Hope you had a wonderful holiday season with your friends and family.  I have a fun little creation to share with you today.

One of my favorite stamp companies is The Cat's Pajamas!  Lots of wonderful stamps and dies that feature my favorite sassy cat Sprinkle.  This week, us TCP fans were missing the regular TCP challenges over on SCS, so that inspired me to challenge others to make an ATC using only TCP stamps and dies.  We've had a few made so far and they are pretty cute!   Here is what I created for the challenge (you may see a few more ATCs from me before the weekend is over as they are just fun to make).

I used the awesome Chalkboard technique from Betsy Veldman to stamp my background.  I don't know how well you can see it, but I used a pink pencil to color in the heart details and do a little doodling.  Sprinkle is done up in her finest with German Glass glitter and bling and then fussy cut and mounted on foam squares for a little extra dimension.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
