This sweet little pair of shoes is the inspiration piece for this months blog hop. On my card, I drew inspiration from the stripes (Ombre Builders stamped in Smokey Shadow), the color pallet (Smokey Shadow, Vintage Cream, Terracotta Tile, and Rustic Artichoke), and the little scroll accent that has the name of the shoe maker in it. </div>

This month Nichole challenged us to make little glitter houses. Can I just say, I am officially hooked! I have a Pinterest board devoted to these little beauties. If you do a search for Christmas glitter house or Putz house online, you are sure to fall in love too. There are even some web sites that have free pattern where you can cut your house pattern from thin chipboard (like a cereal box).<br />

So what do you think? My favorite is the church.<br />

<br />
<br />
I purchased my glitter houses from a site called <a href="http://www.littlevillagehouses.com/" target="_blank">Little Village Houses.</a> I am not to steady with an Xacto knife so I saved myself a step and was able to just get down to decorating and having fun! I also purchased my fences, sisal trees, and some cute little sisal wreaths from there too. Fast shipping, well packed, and reasonably priced. <br />
<br />
Each house got two base coats of gesso and then a couple of coats of acrylic paint. I tried choosing paint color that would mimic Sweet Blush, Aqua Mist, and Smokey Shadow. Each house then got a good coat of glitter (Martha Stewart course glitter and White Gold glitter for the silver roof tops). For the "snow", I found a wonderful product called Snow-Tex by DecoArt. My little window panes use PTI's Faux Ribbon stamp set with White Staz-On stamped on their acetate. For the church, I used some alcohol inks and the tissue that PTI wraps their orders in to make stained glass windows. The ornaments on the cream trees (that you can't see too well now because of all the Mica flakes) are pearls that I picked up at Michaels. I also found my snowmen and sleigh in the mini tree section of M's too. If you have any questions on anything, just let me know and I'll be happy to answer. <br />
<br />
Now off you go to look at more beautiful creations from all our PTI friends! Thanks for stopping by!<br />

<br />
I've started preparations for my 2013 December Daily. I was able to actually make a December Daily last year (I would say it is 90% finished, just need to journal a couple of pages, reprint a few photos in different sizes (as I want to use a different page protector configuration) and embellish a little more on a few pages.)<br />
<br />
Once again I'm using a red SN@P album by simple stories. I'm absolutely in love with the chalkboard trend right now and this is what I decided to go with. I used was hi tape to mask off the red fabric portion and painted the kraft base with Martha Stewart black chalkboard paint (I did two coats, letting the first coat dry 1 hour before painting again. I then let it all cure a full 24 hours before doing anything else). I then stamped Tim Holtz's Grunge Snowflakes with Versamark and then used detail white embossing powder to get all those pretty white snowflakes (I was also pleasantly surprised at how cool the chalkboard looked just rubbing my embossing buddy all over)! I then used my Fresh Snow ink from PTI to distress the edges and cover a bit. Once the white ink was dry, I just adhered some red glitter tape over the seam where the red fabric of the album and the chalkboard meet.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7355/10713998503_0e88a5db08.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7355/10713998503_0e88a5db08.jpg" width="301" /></a></div>
<br />
I'm still undecided as to whether I should further embellish the cover or not (I'm having a hard time covering up those pretty snowflakes). What do you think? Leave it as is or add a little more (maybe a die cut snowflake with a 2013 or 25 flair button)?<br />
<br />
I'm semi working on prepping the interior pages. I find that I really need the pictures to be inspired. I know that I will be having a lot of clear accents in my album, as I like to see other pages peeking through behind each other. I'm also got a list in my mind of what I'll be including for most days of the album, but you never know what stories/surprises will pop up (like when both of my kids came home with Shining Star awards last year for exemplifying the character word "kindness" for the month of December at school).<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Welcome back for day 7 of Sneaky Peek week! One more sleep! One more sleep until the pajama party where aafterwards you'll be able to purchase the awesome stamps and dies that we've been tempting you with all week. So let's get to it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When I was jotting down my ideas for all of the sets, there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to attempt a chalkboard look with the new Simply Holiday set. It's ALL about the fonts with this set, and there is no better showcase for fonts than the chalkboard technique.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-99XZgbai_1U/Um3sdvpbZWI/AAAAAAAABJM/cX65eFq_0Fo/s1600/Simply+Holiday.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-99XZgbai_1U/Um3sdvpbZWI/AAAAAAAABJM/cX65eFq_0Fo/s320/Simply+Holiday.jpg" width="286" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I arranged all my stamps on one block and then stamped them with versamark ink on a Smokey Shadow panel. I then heat embossed with detail white embossing powder. I then inked the stamps again with Fresh Snow, and then stamped over the embossing just a little off kilter for that 'smudgy' look. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Included in the set are some awesome little accent pieces too. Alma really does think of everything! Those were embossed with some glittery embossing powder in red and green for a little pop of color. I then dipped my finger in the white ink pad and further smudged up my panel. The final touch was just inking the edges with a direct to paper technique. I liked my panel so much, I just kept the card simple (hopefully not too simple though). I'm still wrestling with the urge to use a little twine or some sequins and bling. What do you think?</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hello everyone! I'm a little late posting tonight, but better late than never right (for some reason blogger is giving me fits tonight). We're coming in the home stretch of the fabulous new release from <a href="http://thecatspajamasrs.com/TCP/" target="_blank">The Cats Pajamas</a>. I fell in love with this little guy the second I saw him and knew immediately that I wanted to make a shaker style card. The next thought that popped in my head is "how in the heck is this little guy going to make it down that teeny tiny chimney?". Alma has once again nailed it with the sentiments included in this set. Beautiful fonts and wonderful sayings.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For my card, I decided to go with the "Believe" sentiment in that vintage looking font. I stamped the sentiment repeatedly at an angle in traditional Christmas colors (New Leaf and Pure Poppy). That awesome Celebration Toppers die is getting used here as well as some <a href="http://thecatspajamasrs.com/TCP/product/divine-twine/" target="_blank">Holiday Divine Twine</a> (which happens to be hiding a little accidental inky fingered smudge). The little silvery jingle bells have a sweet coating of vintage glass glitter for that little bit of added charm.</div>

Well we're a little over halfway through peeking the new TCP sets. Have you started figuring out your wish list yet? <br />
<br />
We're peeking another cute BBEoD set today called Bounce Back. Today our sweet little bun is laid up and needing some much needed rest. His little nose is all stuffed up and red from blowing it so much. It's hard for this sweet little one to be laid up for any length of time (seriously, if you go to the new TCP website/store you'll see this little bun doing everything from ice fishing to ice skating and everything in between).<br />
<br />
For my card, I decided to use the current Fusion challenge for both my layout and color choices. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEho33kuzEZiv4CrgqugJCOwhIl9RVTbFs90KDQNqsLRBQV-y3OtyVmjVQ80s_sdL-rbyKXvNjNsSOYHguLhxKGtJaM1yVHCzLEWm-3inU6Lmx_IQXhLKGzp0ZoGYz5GeqnipLGWt_YaA4M/s640/20.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="285" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEho33kuzEZiv4CrgqugJCOwhIl9RVTbFs90KDQNqsLRBQV-y3OtyVmjVQ80s_sdL-rbyKXvNjNsSOYHguLhxKGtJaM1yVHCzLEWm-3inU6Lmx_IQXhLKGzp0ZoGYz5GeqnipLGWt_YaA4M/s320/20.png" width="320" /></a></div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the circular element in the sketch, I pulled out my Lacy Floral Doily CutUps. I cut it out twice...once from shimmery cream cardstock and once from patterned paper. I used the patterned paper cut outs to fill back in the spaces on the cream doily for a sweet "wallpaper" type background. BBEoD was both Copic colored and paper pieced and then fussy cut so s(he) could be the star of the show. Finished off with a smattering of sequins and rhinestones, and voila...the card is done.</div>

<a href="http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk94/almadelarosa_album/Oct2011SneakyPeek/SneakyPeekBlog.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="77" src="http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk94/almadelarosa_album/Oct2011SneakyPeek/SneakyPeekBlog.gif" width="320" /></a></div>
Welcome back to day four of Sneaky Peek Week for The Cats Pajamas! Today's peek features what I think is my favorite set of the entire release (and that is saying a lot because there are still PLENTY of awesome sets for you to see). I have a soft spot for snowmen. Always have....always will. This is the very first set that I played with when I got my new goodies.<br />
<br />
Now to set the scene (and believe me I did do this), you MUST have The Drifters version of the song White Christmas playing. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vW4lLHRzsFg/UmlC6SjsytI/AAAAAAAABGQ/4gn1LtosZF0/s1600/Let+the+Flakes+Fly.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vW4lLHRzsFg/UmlC6SjsytI/AAAAAAAABGQ/4gn1LtosZF0/s400/Let+the+Flakes+Fly.jpg" width="353" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Can't you just hear this snowman playing a jazzy version of White Christmas in this pristine and sparkly meadow? Maybe with a bunny or two and a deer close by enjoying the tunes?<br />
<br />
I brought out my inner technique geek to make the background for this card. I first used Versamark to stamp the snowflakes (borrowed from a set that will be officially peeked in two days) on glossy card stock. Once I knew that the Versamark stamped snowflakes had dried, I used my ink blending tool and Salty Ocean and Broken China distress inks to bring out that bright blue sky and the snowflakes. I believe this technique is called "Ghosting". I then stamped and embossed some more snowflakes with detail white embossing powder for an even brighter pop. The snowman was colored with Copics and touches of glitter were added here and there with a few Wink of Stella glitter pens.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KnbByia2hyU/UmlC_Fgpi0I/AAAAAAAABGY/PhhScylTd7A/s1600/detail+Let+the+Flakes+Fly.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-KnbByia2hyU/UmlC_Fgpi0I/AAAAAAAABGY/PhhScylTd7A/s320/detail+Let+the+Flakes+Fly.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The snowman was then fussy cut and set upon hills that were cut out with my <a href="http://thecatspajamasrs.com/TCP/product/holiday-toppers-cutups/" target="_blank">Holiday Toppers CutUps</a> (the little trees are also from this die set, I just altered the finished die cut by getting rid of the barn and silo). The hills got a nice glittery treatment with some vintage glass glitter for some super sparkle! All that is left is the sentiment that was stamped with White Stazon on an acetate overlay (what looks to be a black stamped sentiment in the first picture is actually a shadow as I took this picture outside to get bright light)<br />
<br />
So what do you think of this guy? Do you love him as much as I do?<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Welcome back to day three of Sneaky Peek Week for The Cats Pajamas. Today's peek features our favorite long eared bunny Bun Bun Ears of Doom (or BBEOD for short). BBEOD is the star of the show in the new set called Go Fight Win, and I am officially smitten!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lzX4roGjalI/UmiMNmRKC_I/AAAAAAAABE4/tEau_I6Py1o/s1600/Go+Fight+Win.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lzX4roGjalI/UmiMNmRKC_I/AAAAAAAABE4/tEau_I6Py1o/s640/Go+Fight+Win.jpg" width="476" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I wouldn't normally choose such garish colors for a card, but no self respecting Colorado girl would choose otherwise. Imagine the possibilities with this set...high school, college, NFL...lots of different colors possibilities to personalise a card to a recipients liking. This card is probably going to find its way to the grandparents with pictures of the boys inside.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EFyxEWxRIfY/UmiOuijHYaI/AAAAAAAABFA/LCKGyoEhLwU/s1600/detail+Go+Fight+Win.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EFyxEWxRIfY/UmiOuijHYaI/AAAAAAAABFA/LCKGyoEhLwU/s320/detail+Go+Fight+Win.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I wanted to point out something about the football field that BBEOD is running on. This is the new "Dots" die that is being released. I cut a piece of acetate with the die to create a stencil, and then used dimensional paste to stencil the dots on! It has a really cool textural and dimensional look in real life!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There are lots of other TCP dies at work here, and when my Internet comes back up at my house, I'll come back and edit this post with all the cool details. Thank goodness for smartphones!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So what do you think of this little guy? I personally am amazed that he was able to jam that helmet on his little head (he kinda reminds me of that NFL player with all that long curly hair flowing down the back of his helmet).</div>

<br />
It is a wonderful day to be a fan of The Cat's Pajamas stamps! Today is the 1st day of Sneaky Peek Week and I've been lucky enough to play along with the Cat Pack with the amazing new stamps and CutUps dies!<br />
<br />
Just so you know, the official release party will take place on Monday, October 28th, at 8:00<br />
PM EST in the <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/cats-pajamas-f277/" target="_blank">TCP Forum</a> at Splitcoaststampers. There is always a lot of fun to be had, extra Sneaky Peeks to admire and fabulous prizes to be had! <br />
<br />
Now I bet you're wondering to yourself "How did she get this sweet gig?". Well today is also TCP Tuesday (so my card is doing double duty for Sneaky Peek Week and as my challenge<br />
card). The challenge for October is an anti embellishment challenge and there is still time to play along. This month it is all about the stamps and not the embellishments. Your challenge is to create a card with little to no embellishments, certainly no more than 2 and no buttons, gems or twine. Catch Alma's eye and you could be the next Swanky Stamper (and it really is a pretty sweet gig to have)!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/90523440@N08/10422641976/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="Peace Joy Penguins by LSNICK2, on Flickr"><img alt="Peace Joy Penguins" height="640" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7297/10422641976_eda111b0d5_c.jpg" width="475" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The set today is called Peace, Joy, and Penguins. I just smiled when I read the included sentiments in this set. The "Dear Santa I can explain...." sentiment is so going to be used in my December Daily this year when the boys are writing out their lists to Santa. Now Larry, Darryl, and Darryl are doing their very best to behave themselves. And they seem to be doing a pretty good job, except for Darryl there in the middle.....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/90523440@N08/10422656515/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="Detail Peace Joy Penguins by LSNICK2, on Flickr"><img alt="Detail Peace Joy Penguins" height="640" src="http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5487/10422656515_ff9059c6e9_z.jpg" width="465" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Now in keeping with the anti-embelly challenge, these little guys have been colored with Copic markers. For my bling (that isn't really bling), I accented my coloring with a few Wink of Stella glitter pens and a smidge of vintage German glass glitter is on Darryl's hat. There is also a tiny smattering of sequins (sequins are NOT gems...or so I keep telling myself). Anyone who knows me knows that this was a tough card to make. :-)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk94/almadelarosa_album/October2013/OctoberInIt_zpsb96eae50.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="291" src="http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk94/almadelarosa_album/October2013/OctoberInIt_zpsb96eae50.gif" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Now do yourself a favor and head on over to the <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/cats-pajamas-f277/" target="_blank">TCP Forum</a> and chat it up in the In It to Win It Thread. Every day, Alma randomly selects one lucky commenter from all the comments to win the stamp set peeked that day.<br />
<br />
Well what do you think? Did I manage to catch this trio's sweet personalities?<br />

<br />
As promised (although a day late), here is the ATC card that I made for the "winter themed" ATC swap over on the PTI forum.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/90523440@N08/9986340613/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="ATC Shaker card by LSNICK2, on Flickr"><img alt="ATC Shaker card" height="640" src="http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2877/9986340613_f1e0448259_c.jpg" width="520" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I used a couple of PTI sets on this one, Winter Snow globe and Winter Penguin (he just fits in the globe so perfectly!). I used my Copics to give him a little personality and some Martha Stewart tinsel glitter for a little sparkle. The Shimmery Cream card stock layer is impressed with the Peace Be Still impression plate and I used my Holly Jolly dies and some rhinestones from my stash for the little holly accent in the corner. There was a lot of die cutting, impressing and assembling for this little 2.5" x 3.5" creation! LOL! I forgot how much fun shaker cards are and I am super happy with how he looks like he is in icy waters. Brrrrr!<br />
<br />

Sorry for the long absence (who am I kidding, I am not a regular poster by any means...lol) but I have been busy with ATC swaps, card kit swaps, and life (i.e. shuffling my oldest back and forth to doctor appointments (he broke BOTH wrists the day before school...on my birthday), volunteering at kids school, helping kids with homework, etc.).<br />
<br />
For once I had the for thought to actually snap a picture of the two ATC s that I made for the swaps I joined (I'll post my winter themed ATC tomorrow).<br />
<br />
Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE Halloween! I love decorating, kids in costume, candy and fun treats, etc. For me, back to school and Halloween really kick off the crafting season for me. Anyway, for my fall themed ATC, I had to do a Halloween theme.<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
I used the super cute set Mr Bones by Papertrey and some sweet patterned paper from Doodlebug for the background. I also used some Doodlebug glitter paper for the moon andone of my coveted bat brads (Making Memories? from a few years back) from my stash. A little divine twine and a little shimmer pen finish things off nicely.<br />
<br />
Here is a detail shot showing how shimmery Mr. Bones is in real life.<br />

Edited to add: I am shouting from the rooftops as I am Swanky Stamper for September. This means that when The Cat's Pajamas has their next release, I'm going to receive their new stamp sets and dies and play along with the Cat Pack in the sneaky peek posts! I am super excited and can't wait! You can read all about it <a href="http://dancinginpajamas.blogspot.com/2013/09/september-swanky-stamper.html" target="_blank">here</a> at Alma's blog.</div>

Today it is cloudy and cold here in Colorado. Perfect stamping weather (and gaming weather if you would ask my two boys). There was still just a wee bit of time left on the Linky for the August TCP Tuesday challenge so I thought I would try another go at the long, tall card. I'm a slow card maker, and an even slower blogger sometimes so I KNEW this would be a challenge.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
The stars of the show are those super cute Penguins Larry and Darryl from the newly released set <a href="http://www.thecatspajamasrs.com/Aug2013.htm" target="_blank">Under the Stars</a>. The other brother Darryl is probably off trying to pet PJ the bear in the woods somewhere. All the patterned paper used is from my <strike>hoarded</strike> coveted October Afternoon Campfire paper stack. Lots of TCP <a href="http://www.thecatspajamasrs.com/Cutting.htm" target="_blank">dies</a> are making an appearance here too (namely Cloud Border, Grass, Big Scallop, and Pinking Border). Some Divine Twine ties off a Simply Chartreuse button to finish off the bottom of the card.<br />
<br />
Here is a detail shot of the cute penguins and copic coloring.<br />

<br />
Every year at Skyway Elementary, there is an annual Camping with the Comets event at the school grounds. There is star gazing, a campfire and smores, a movie projected up against the school and the fun of pitching a tent on the upper field and spending the night. This will be my oldest son's last official campout as he will be going to Junior High next year. This card will be for him!<br />

The Cat's Pajamas just had another super SWANKY release this past Tuesday and since I received my order yesterday (yes....Miss Meowy ships THAT fast) I just had to get my favorite set from the release inky. I'm squeeking this in for the final few hours of the August TCP Tuesday challenge to create a card that will go in a long, tall envelope. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/90523440@N08/9642693766/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="Fly High by LSNICK2, on Flickr"><img alt="Fly High" height="640" src="http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3727/9642693766_591f5a87fc_c.jpg" width="340" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Do you ever see a stamp set and immediately have an idea pop in your head? Well, as soon as I saw this adorable Bun Bun Ears of Doom (BBEoD for short as us long time TCP fans call him) set called <a href="http://www.thecatspajamasrs.com/Aug2013.htm" target="_blank">"Fly High",</a> I absolutely knew what I wanted to create. I think this one will get slipped in my youngest sons backpack (he loves anything to do with space). The inside has the "You are a Star" sentiment stamped inside.<br />
<br />
I don't know if you can tell, but the card is a slider. BBEoD floats along on the card. Don't worry though, he is tethered to the Mod, Mod World (retired TCP) rocket piloted by the uber reliable <a href="http://www.thecatspajamasrs.com/Animals.htm" target="_blank">Poochie</a> by some divine twine. Below on the "red planet" is the sweetest little martian that you'll ever see <a href="http://www.thecatspajamasrs.com/Valentines1.htm" target="_blank">Love Robot</a> (both he and Poochie are available as rubber stamps in the TCP store). I debossed a polka dot pattern on the planet for some fun texture.<br />
<br />
Here is a detail shot showing the slider a little better.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/90523440@N08/9642685796/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" title="Fly High by LSNICK2, on Flickr"><img alt="Fly High" height="400" src="http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3738/9642685796_d6d90dfe12_m.jpg" width="265" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by! I have another fun card idea for another one of my new sets. Don't know if my idea will work with this particular challenge, but I do plan getting another set inky hopefully tomorrow!<br />

I recently held an ATC swap on the TCP member forum over on SCS. There were 10 TCP fans including myself who participated in this swap and there was a lot of itty bitty eye candy to be had.<br />
<br />
Here is the ATC that I created for the swap. <br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/90523440@N08/9434389121/" title="Looking for Rainbows by LSNICK2, on Flickr"><img alt="Looking for Rainbows" height="400" src="http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2816/9434389121_87343baa8c.jpg" width="308" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The stamp is called <a href="http://www.thecatspajamasrs.com/HareToday.htm" target="_blank">Hare Today</a> and features the bunny that us TCP have affectionally named Bun Bun Ears of Doom (or BBEoD for short). You are just doomed to love him once you see those long ears! LOL! I made the rainbow by coloring clear bling with my Copic markers. I have always wanted to try this and I don't see myself purchasing colored bling going forward. Super easy technique with the Copics. The ATC has a little paper piecing going on and BBEoD is stamped on SU Shimmery White cardstock with just a hint of Copic coloring. There is some divine twine around the bottom and a super sparkly cloud (Doodlebug Glitter Cardstock) die cut with the <a href="http://www.thecatspajamasrs.com/Cutting.htm" target="_blank">Cloud Border</a> die from TCP. I stamped and embossed the sentiment on a clear overlay (couldn't fit in the sentiment any other way). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Hope you're having a wonderrful day! </div>

I've been busy this weekend having fun and creating for Papertrey Ink's Annual Stamp-A-Faire! I'm going to keep the words short and sweet as this will be a pretty photo intensive post.<br />

Today is the long anticipated Stamp-a-Faire! Last night I tidied up my workspace so I would actually have more than a 6x6 area to work in and got my SAF stamps sets (and maybe a new release stamp set or two) put away in TH folders (well really the HL brand). I'm ready!<br />
<br />
Here you can see my desk (there IS white space under there...LOL!<br />

<br />
And here is a self portrait of me (REALLY wish my arms were a bit longer) wearing my Stamp-a-Faire apron.<br />

Well between hopping and cleaning, I managed to eek out 3 more cards for the PTI July blog hop theme of Fruits of Summer.<br />
<br />
First up, a little Ruby Rose number using my favorite color combo from the blog hop.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341c64e753ef0191043e8876970c-pi" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="278" src="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341c64e753ef0191043e8876970c-pi" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iqrALFON1k0/UfG-fqjj84I/AAAAAAAABCU/Hn2ehDo6y8g/s1600/PTI+July+blog+hop2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iqrALFON1k0/UfG-fqjj84I/AAAAAAAABCU/Hn2ehDo6y8g/s320/PTI+July+blog+hop2.jpg" width="244" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I also really liked the colors in this inspiration photo...so soft and refreshing.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341c64e753ef0191043e883c970c-pi" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="278" src="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341c64e753ef0191043e883c970c-pi" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I used Mini blooms to stamp up a CAS card using the color combo above. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WSYbt5uplDY/UfG-SPODNUI/AAAAAAAABCE/U79-ZXpAuZo/s1600/PTI+July+blog+hop+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WSYbt5uplDY/UfG-SPODNUI/AAAAAAAABCE/U79-ZXpAuZo/s320/PTI+July+blog+hop+4.jpg" width="241" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And the last combo that I really loved was this citrusy little number.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341c64e753ef0191043e8898970c-pi" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="278" src="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341c64e753ef0191043e8898970c-pi" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6kr4L_AQnB0/UfG-aJUnfsI/AAAAAAAABCM/7EBpdziw7dQ/s1600/PTI+July+blog+hop+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="237" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6kr4L_AQnB0/UfG-aJUnfsI/AAAAAAAABCM/7EBpdziw7dQ/s320/PTI+July+blog+hop+3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
We're in need of thank you cards for my son to send out for birthday presents he received. Grunge Me and a wonderful color palette to the rescue.<br />

Once again, I'm playing along with the Papertrey monthly blog hop. This month's challenge is a color challenge. Nichole posted six color combos, accompanied by some of the most scrumptious images that I have ever seen. This particular combination really spoke to me (in fact I FINALLY die cut file cards for my inspiration file in these colors). I only have the one project for now, but if I have time today, I want to play with my second favorite color combo).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341c64e753ef0191043e8876970c-pi" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="278" src="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341c64e753ef0191043e8876970c-pi" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MaZsmjkyIbM/UfFslGpSj9I/AAAAAAAABB0/8_sa9k8otQQ/s1600/July+PTI+Blog+Hop.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MaZsmjkyIbM/UfFslGpSj9I/AAAAAAAABB0/8_sa9k8otQQ/s320/July+PTI+Blog+Hop.jpg" width="247" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For this card, I played with my Vertical Chevron cover plate and my Live Love Life stamp set. What's nice is that I have plenty of these chevron shapes to make several more cards! Some bling from my stash finishes the opening nicely that was cut with my Limitless Layers Circle die. This color combo was very fun and a dream to work with.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for stopping by! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I'm going to keep this short and sweet as the internet has been down at my house for the past two days and I'm being forced to do anything internet related from my phone. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jZvRnascw_o/UcnYh9y3iLI/AAAAAAAABBQ/vH0c19a_1TM/s1600/IMG_20130625_110437-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="246" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jZvRnascw_o/UcnYh9y3iLI/AAAAAAAABBQ/vH0c19a_1TM/s320/IMG_20130625_110437-2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
First up, my sunburst card. Used the PTI set Hello Sunshine. I stamped one set of rays with Gold Delicata ink. LOVE this ink! The other set of rays were stamped with versamark and then covered with heat and stick powder. I then covered the sticky parts with vintage glass glitter. I did an acetate overlay as I didn't have a good place for a sentiment (learned that from Jess Witty).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AWiVz8Pu8qk/UcnapfuUKmI/AAAAAAAABBg/fb56GXdMerE/s1600/IMG_20130625_110322.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AWiVz8Pu8qk/UcnapfuUKmI/AAAAAAAABBg/fb56GXdMerE/s320/IMG_20130625_110322.jpg" width="307" /></a></div>
<br />
Next up. a CASE of Nichole Heady's beautiful Rosie Posie card from a few months back using new goodies. Used the vertical chevron cutting plate. For the Rosie Posie step 2 set, on the flowers and leaves I stamped the gold delicata ink again. The flowers are stamped in Harvest Gold and Vintage Cream, the leaves in Limeaid Ice Peeking out under the chevron overlay is the PTI shimmery gold paper. <br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by! Once my internet is up and running, I'll be visiting everyone!<br />

<p dir=ltr>He also wanted me to point out that the sentiment has a cool, almost like 3d effect (I think it looks like the chalkboard technique) because he accidently wiggled the stamp when stamping it!</p>
<p dir=ltr>Here's to many more stamping adventures!  </p>

This is my first time participating in the PTI Blog Hop! This month, the challenge is to use sequins on your project.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341c64e753ef017ee950337a970d-pi" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341c64e753ef017ee950337a970d-pi" width="157" /></a></div>
<br />
I made a card for the challenge using Hello Sunshine. I was inspired by the photo of the stars (upper right 2nd row) covered by all those beautiful sequins. The dotted sun rays are embossed in Butter Zing embossing powder. The remaining sun rays are stamped with Summer Sunrise. Not having a good place for a sentiment, I channeled my inner Jess Witty and embossed the sentiment on a clear overlay in detail white embossing powder. The PTI clouds die cuts are covered with iredescent white sequins purchased from Ellen Hutsen.<br />

Two posts from me in one day? Must be the cold weather (aka perfect stampy weather). This post even has TWO cards, which really is unheard of for me. LOL!<br />
<br />
I'm trying to dabble with a CAS style. So many stampers that I admire do it so well. I thought it was time that I gave it a try too. It definitely is out of my comfort zone, but one can't grow if one is not willing to try new things.<br />
<br />
The first card is for PTI's Make it Monday #108 to make Inked Backgrounds. I used my new Wonderful Words: Birthday (PTI) to emboss the word Birthday in detail white embossing powder. I then created a mask for the two opposing corners and used my ink blending tool to blend Spun Sugar, Wild Honey, and Tumbled Glass distress inks (Tim Holtz) on my panel. I don't know how well you can see it, but where the yellow and blue meet in a couple of spots it made green (gotta love how those distress inks blend)! I then added some new sequins that I purchased from Ellen Hutsen and then mounted the panel using dimensional adhesive on a white card stock panel.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ngUh8eYSIms/UU5XzvCkyBI/AAAAAAAAA-4/kVUm17CEYNs/s1600/2013-03-23+19.18.40_wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ngUh8eYSIms/UU5XzvCkyBI/AAAAAAAAA-4/kVUm17CEYNs/s320/2013-03-23+19.18.40_wm.jpg" width="236" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I am also taking an online card class. This class in particular is one that I desperately needed. It is the Pattern Play class which is teaching me how to use all the pretty patterned paper that I've been <strike>hoarding</strike> buying over the years. All I can say is it is money well spent as I have a ton of new ideas and techniques in my stampers arsenal that really are quite simple. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://onlinecardclasses.com/patternplay/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/PP_site_small_logo.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://onlinecardclasses.com/patternplay/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/PP_site_small_logo.png" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is a pretty straight forward case of <a href="http://laurafadora.wordpress.com/" target="_blank">Laura Bassen</a>. I had never heard of her before I started this class but will be visiting her on a regular basis from now on. What a talented lady with a wonderful CAS style.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The card uses the Wonderful Words: Hello die (PTI) cut from eclipse masking tape. I applied my mask to Soft Stone bitty dot paper (PTI) and then stamped stripes (PTI Background Basics Super Stripes) in Hibiscus Burst, Summer Sunrise, and Limeade Ice. I mounted this to a white cardstock panel and added a few sequins purchased from Ellen Hutsen.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hope it's Spring where you are!</div>

Hi! I am coming at you from snowy CO with another card for the TCP Tuesday challenge. This challenge is a neutral challenge plus we are allowed one patterned paper and one other color. Oh and lest I forget Alma also is limiting the number of layers to two only (not including the base).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzAtny6L8InwcYOJBq5vBStsC4gcErojBmhcaz9M4CTy7f8xeY9jVnFGLxy2SMCJWlxNHWgF9zNpEJf2eI-6uMyfAM4M4Y6_dTL4ah8buXhH2n3FRG-eRNTd31pgnfZNtMkfJcbNP13gU/s1600/ColorChallenge_03.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzAtny6L8InwcYOJBq5vBStsC4gcErojBmhcaz9M4CTy7f8xeY9jVnFGLxy2SMCJWlxNHWgF9zNpEJf2eI-6uMyfAM4M4Y6_dTL4ah8buXhH2n3FRG-eRNTd31pgnfZNtMkfJcbNP13gU/s1600/ColorChallenge_03.gif" /></a></div>
<br />
In my mind I was rebelling a little when I first colored this image. After all, TCP images look super cute with lots of bright colors and patterns. Lots of fun layers too! You know what though? Alma's images ARE super cute with all of the above but they are also cute when you simplify things.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-30hIp85HCYk/UU3_T0gn66I/AAAAAAAAA-Y/wPB-bzhGuRw/s1600/2013-03-23+13.14.17.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="254" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-30hIp85HCYk/UU3_T0gn66I/AAAAAAAAA-Y/wPB-bzhGuRw/s320/2013-03-23+13.14.17.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I colored BunBun up with Copics (W1, W3, W5, W7) for this neutral look. The cloud border die got a workout and is cut from SU Brushed Silver and then layered with SU Basic Grey. The Blue Moon is the Sunflower Rosette die from Night of Navy. The patterned paper is from October Afternoon (campfire I think). The exhaust from BunBun's plane is stamped on vellum. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vb0_deMruy0/UU3_6C7nJRI/AAAAAAAAA-g/WK-ZEIP7pl8/s1600/2013-03-23+13.16.58.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="257" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vb0_deMruy0/UU3_6C7nJRI/AAAAAAAAA-g/WK-ZEIP7pl8/s320/2013-03-23+13.16.58.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-euH1Lt55Bdc/UU4APsztTdI/AAAAAAAAA-o/3_sVpE-1M34/s1600/2013-03-23+13.18.44.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="264" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-euH1Lt55Bdc/UU4APsztTdI/AAAAAAAAA-o/3_sVpE-1M34/s320/2013-03-23+13.18.44.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hope you enjoy! I have a card I made for the Pattern Play class that I'm taking that I'll post a little later.</div>

In the Nicholson household, we are always trying to build a bigger and better leprechaun trap. Look at the cutie we captured!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpeDPtCobpcYHGsymBb4FN_pS0g6cutYYFPOZiMOV2IJQctChoW_HPodB-nT6IOb0RF_HSjvmSIWdFsVvEyXMrOajcL5gw71-LU9kcUj3I35V2NSHYQ4LDBjF0OWznhTXde_1ZvtxfLQQ/s1600/TCPTuesdayBLOCK.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpeDPtCobpcYHGsymBb4FN_pS0g6cutYYFPOZiMOV2IJQctChoW_HPodB-nT6IOb0RF_HSjvmSIWdFsVvEyXMrOajcL5gw71-LU9kcUj3I35V2NSHYQ4LDBjF0OWznhTXde_1ZvtxfLQQ/s1600/TCPTuesdayBLOCK.gif" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I made this for the month long TCP Tuesday challenge (and what a challenge it is). We are to have only one patterned paper (one...uno...no double sided), can only be TWO layers (not counting the base) and it is a Neutrals challenge (white/cream/craft/black + one color). <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzAtny6L8InwcYOJBq5vBStsC4gcErojBmhcaz9M4CTy7f8xeY9jVnFGLxy2SMCJWlxNHWgF9zNpEJf2eI-6uMyfAM4M4Y6_dTL4ah8buXhH2n3FRG-eRNTd31pgnfZNtMkfJcbNP13gU/s1600/ColorChallenge_03.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzAtny6L8InwcYOJBq5vBStsC4gcErojBmhcaz9M4CTy7f8xeY9jVnFGLxy2SMCJWlxNHWgF9zNpEJf2eI-6uMyfAM4M4Y6_dTL4ah8buXhH2n3FRG-eRNTd31pgnfZNtMkfJcbNP13gU/s1600/ColorChallenge_03.gif" /></a></div>
<br />
This challenge is...<br />
shall we say it....<br />
CHALLENGING!<br />
<br />
When I use my TCP stamps...<br />
they look best with lots of bright colors...<br />
and fun layers...<br />
but Alma in her infinite wisdom knows that her cutie pie images can handle a CAS type card.<br />
<br />
